Title: Entrepreneur
I am a stay at home mama turning entrepreneur. Staying at home wasn't my plan, but I had four baby girls in under three years! I am the queen of planning my life out only to be shown how much is actually out of my control. I currently have a 4-year-old, identical twin 2-year-olds, and a 1-year-old.
I have a background in public health, quit corporate after a miscarriage because I realized my stressful job wasn't compatible with pregnancy or family life, and during my own pregnancy journeys, I gained certifications in: yoga teaching, yoga for women's health, rocket yoga, and health coaching with specialities in pregnancy and families.
Before having kids, I thrived in the "work hard, play harder" mindset. However, the past 5 years has forced me to prioritize my own health by learning to understand & connect with my own body, make mindful and intentional choices, deactivate my fight or flight, simplify, and prioritize meaningful relationships with my family and friends.
I believe there is no one right way to be healthy in our motherhood journeys, and that there are no one-size-fits-all solutions when it comes to our bodies. I also believe that our system is not set up to support and empower women from fertility through early motherhood, and that we are left feeling overwhelmed, anxious, injured, and isolated. I aim to build a community that will change that.
I am combining my previous and current work experiences, my life experience, and the best research and tools I can find to educate & empower women to own their health into and throughout early motherhood. It should be a requirement for us as mothers to pursue holistic health for ourselves so that we can thrive instead of survive. So that we can be strong, present, and connected.
In my personal life, we spend as much time outside as possible and believe, "there is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing!" I love exploring and adventuring in our home state of Maine with my family, and I look forward to adding travel back into our lifestyle. I love to cook, continue to deepen my yoga practice, and generally just try to stay sane with all these babes!
Motherhood and entrepreneurship have a lot in common. It's messy, overwhelming, and isolating. It's drinking from the fire hydrant at all times. So far, it has been difficult for me to find the balance to make progress on my business while also feeling present and connected to my children. I hope to find support and guidance on building a strong business foundation to get up and running, create systems at home and in my business for efficiency and simplification, and find connection and community in the process.
